ARMITAGE BRIDGE CRICKET CLUB ...... Located in the 'Big Valley' at the head of the Holme Valley, in the rural heart of the Yorkshire Pennines just outside the main town of Huddersfield, the Club is one of the oldest clubs in the Huddersfield District Cricket League, with a proud tradition within the village.
The club runs 2 Senior teams, competing in the 'Drakes' sponsored Huddersfield League, alongside those teams are our 5 Junior Age groups - U17, U15, U13, U11 and U9's - competing in the 'Sellers' Huddersfield Junior League, with an aim of providing cricket for all ages and abilities. The juniors are the future of the club, they must be encouraged, particularly with there now being so many other activities and distractions taking people away from playing our wonderful game.
As any cricket lover knows, nothing quite compares to watching the drama and intrigue of a match unfolding right before your eyes. Well, imagine that game set against the perfect backdrop provided by Armitage Bridge. It doesn't get much better than that!
